Community Development Facilitator (Opencast Mining Operation)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree / Diploma in Development Studies / Political Studies
• Minimum 5 years experience in Community Development Facilitation or Stakeholder Management in a Mining environment
• Valid SA license
• Computer literate

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation and listening skills
• Assertive, calm in nature, conflict management skills, self-leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a demanding mining environment

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stakeholder Engagement: DMPR, communities, local councillors and chiefs, local municipality, heads of schools and other stakeholders
• Community upliftment: Local Economic Development, training initiatives
• Corporate Social Investment project management
• Social Labour Plan implementation
• Legal Compliance
• Reporting
