Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Group Finance Manager (Mining Operations)

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in support of overall business objectives.
* Lead all financial management, accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
* Ensure compliance with financial, tax, corporate, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the FD & Executive Committee.
* Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow management, and capital expenditure planning.
* Manage banking relationships, funding requirements, insurance programs, and treasury functions.
* Drive profitability, cost management, financial performance, and operational efficiencies across the Group.
* Ensure robust internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance standards.
* Lead external audits and maintain relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
* Evaluate and support acquisitions, investments, business development opportunities, and strategic projects.
* Develop and mentor high-performing finance teams across the Group.
* Provide oversight of payroll, financial systems, reporting platforms, and financial transformation initiatives.

Key Requirements

* Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional qualification.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
* MBA or postgraduate financial qualification will be advantageous.
* Minimum 10-15 years’ finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
* Extensive experience within mining, contract mining, construction, engineering, or related heavy industry sectors.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury, corporate finance, and financial governance.
* Experience managing complex multi-company and cross-border operations.
* Proven track record in strategic planning, financial leadership, and business partnering at executive level.
* Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
