CANDIDATE PROFILE (MIN REQUIRTEMENTS)

  • BSc / BEng in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
  • 5 years? experience in mineral processing design with strong exposure to Chrome beneficiation and PGM flotation circuits
  • Proven experience in project environment (PFS to commissioning)
  • Strong metallurgical fundamentals, strong problem solving and analytical skills, project execution mindset, risk based decision making, clear technical communication, strong stakeholder management ability

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • On site data collection for process optimisation
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Oversee implementation of new technologies and support operations
  • Oversee metallurgical test work/development programs
  • Completion of scoping and feasibility studies
  • Project management during technical projects execution
  • Deliver technical reports

Our mining client is looking for a Project Metallurgist to join their Head Office in Centurion to drive Metallurgy projects. The suitable candidate must be willing to travelling to sites to oversee projects from time to time in Limpopo and North West.
