Our mining client based in the Northern Cape is seeking a project professional to join their team
Operational Readiness Manager to ensure a safe, smooth and efficient transition from project phase and construction to full operational status. The Operational Readiness Manager acts as the primary interface between project delivery and operations, ensuring effective communication and seamless handover to ongoing production phases, thereby driving overall operational success at the project/ mine site. This role ensures systems, people, processes, and infrastructure are fully prepared to support sustainable mining operations from Day 1.
Qualifications:
NQF 8 qualifications in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or related technical fields.
Business Management qualification would be advantageous.
Project Management Qualification would be advantageous.
Professional Registration (SAIMMA, AMMSA etc.).
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in mining operations, project management, or operational readiness roles.
Proven experience leading operational readiness programs, commissioning, or production operations in mining or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of mining processes, milling/processing, and maintenance integration.
Safety Management and Value Engineering experience required
