Auto Electrician (Opencast Mining Operation)

Responsibility:

Safety

• Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies

Maintenance

• Breakdown maintenance
• Planned maintenance
• Fault finding
• Requisition of parts needed
• Job Cards
• Paperwork concerning repairs
• Follow up on breakdowns

Housekeeping

• General tidiness and good housekeeping of site and other areas of responsibility

Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate
• Candidates must have a valid driver?s license
• Auto Electrician Trade Certificate Required
• Engineering N2 passed in related field of trade
• At least 3 years? post trade experience in repair and maintenance of various Heavy Earth Moving Equipment in an Opencast Mining environment.

Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities:

• Fully bilingual
• Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor
• Must possess basic problem solving, basic self-management
