Plant Shift Supervisor (Processing Plant)

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the Calcination and Blending Plants to meet production targets.
• Monitor and optimize plant performance, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
• Lead, train, and manage production staff, ensuring proper shift handovers and workforce discipline.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
• Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, coordinating with maintenance teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
• Hands-on production experience in a manufacturing environment (essential).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or N6 in Mechanical Engineering.
• Supervisory Qualification (Advantagous)
• Valid code 08 driver’s license.
• Medical Fitness

Experience:

• • Two to three years proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing/production plant environment.
