Engineering Supervisor: Crushing Plant

Safety, Health and Environment

• Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies.

Maintenance Management

• Assist the planner with planned maintenance schedules and resource allocation
• Monitor the quality job cards feedback and approve
• Over inspections on machines should be done on a daily basis
• Ensure spare parts are available for execution of work

Equipment Availability

• Scrutinize the downtime information in the control room system to ensure accuracy
• Monitor the performance of the equipment after a breakdown or planned maintenance work been done to measure the Artisan’s quality of work

Quality Management

• The job card process must be acknowledged within 2 days and possible setbacks must be communicated
• The oil samples and action taken on recommendations should be within set limits

Labour Management

• Discuss ‘comebacks’ with artisans to identify any training needs and/or poor work performance.
• Is responsible for workshop discipline and teamwork

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Trade Certificate
• N3 in related field
• Valid drivers license
• Wireman’s license (advantageous)
• Extensive and proven experience on Crushing and screening Plants
• 3 years experience on fixed and mobile crushing and screening plant in a open cast mining environment
• Supervisory Qualification (Advantageous)
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
• Computer literate
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
