Blasting Engineer (Opencast)

CANDIDATE PROFILE (MIN REQUIRTEMENTS)

• BSc Mining Engineering Degree, relevant technical certifications
• Blasting Ticket open cast
• Min 3 – 5 years experience in drilling and blasting within a mining environment
• Good communication and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Blast design
• Blast compliance monitoring
• Monitor and evaluate blasting contractor
• Cost monitoring and reconciliation
• Blasting product quality monitoring
• Engagement with community regarding blasting in collaboration with stakeholder engagement team
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and site access control procedures.
