Management Accountant (Mining)

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage and monitor operational costs on site, including plant costs, machinery usage and hours and mining activity costs.
• Track and report diesel usage and implement effective diesel management practices
• Compile, analyse and submit monthly production and stock reports
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to gather cost data and ensure financial alignment with site activities
• Prepare cost variance reports and highlight areas of concern or overspend

MIN REQUIRTEMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management Accounting
• Minimum of 5 Years of work experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Prior operational site based experience in a similar role is essential
• Experience in managing a team is essential
• Strong knowledge of Management Accounting principles, financial and operational reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, remote site environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
