Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support the marketing team with day-to-day operational, creative, and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate has at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, is comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and is eager to learn about digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Support in managing and updating website content, social media posts, and marketing assets
• Coordinate content creation (copy, images, videos) and maintain brand consistency across all
materials
• Help compile campaign performance reports and track key marketing metrics
• Manage internal requests for marketing materials, templates, or social media content
• Assist with email campaigns, newsletters, and basic CRM data management
• Liaise with external vendors and agencies when needed (creative, digital, print)
• Conduct competitor research and market analysis as requested
• Help maintain the marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of tasks
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing, advertising, or communications role
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication (English; Afrikaans a plus)
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools
• Basic understanding of Google Ads, SEO, and digital marketing principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Skills
• Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, or CRM systems
• Understanding of paid-media metrics (CTR, CPC, conversion rate)
• Graphic design or video-editing experience (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
• Familiarity with South African consumer finance or service-based marketing
• Hands-on and proactive, willing to jump in and learn
• Reliable, detail-driven, and deadline-focused
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
• Passion for marketing, creativity, and continuous improvement
