Duties and responsibilities:
▪ Design fit for purpose and cost-effective equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushing installations equipment within the mining industry.
▪ Compile data sheets, as required for the equipment that has been designed.
▪ Interact with Service Providers iro pricing and technical specifications.
▪ Compilation of vendor documentation and specifications for the designed equipment.
Qualification requirements
▪ BSc Eng (Mechanical Engineering) with 10 Years experience.
▪ Professional Registration with ECSA.

Experience and skill requirements:
Proven Mechanical Engineering Design work experience in Bulk Materials

Handling Systems and the design of purpose-built bespoke mining equipment.
Minimum of 7 years of DESIGN engineering experience.

Solidworks experience will be ideal.
Structural Design experience will be advantageous.
FEA experience will be highly advantageous.

Description

The purpose of this role is to provide extensive design engineering services.
The company focusses extensively on the design and manufacture of materials handling equipment within the mining industry as well as in the crushing & screening segment of the market.

Typical design applications include the design and manufacture of vibratory screens, conveyor systems, crushing / mineral processing plants, crusher installations etc. Extensive experience gained in this
environment is non-negotiable. The position is based at the company’s Head Office and occasional travel will be required.
