Essential qualifications:
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant qualification in Information Technology
• 3–5 years’ experience in an IT support role
Advantageous experience:
• Experience supporting infrastructure across multiple locations
• Valid South African driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
IT Support & Infrastructure
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on-site and
remotely.
• Provide responsive end-user support with a strong service focus.
• Support system upgrades, compatibility, and network hardware installations
across sites.
• Monitor connectivity and system performance to reduce downtime across
remote locations.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, licensing requirements, and applicable
legislation.
Maintenance & Backups
• Perform routine system maintenance and updates.
• Manage and monitor backups to support data integrity and business continuity.
• Schedule maintenance to minimise operational disruption.
Asset & Stock Management
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, and issued tools.
• Control and monitor IT stock levels in line with company requirements.
• Safeguard company tools and equipment in line with policy.
Operational Support
• Provide after-hours and weekend support when required.
• Travel between sites to provide practical technical assistance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in IT support and operational efficiency.
Our client is looking for a hands-on, solution-driven IT Technician to support reliable day
to-day IT operations across multiple sites. The role is responsible for maintaining hardware,
software, connectivity, and core IT infrastructure to keep users productive and minimise
business disruption.
