Site Manager (Opencast Chrome Operation 2.6.1)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that an effective operational plan has been generated
• Ensure that maintenance schedules are in place and that breakdowns are corrected timeously
• VFL Visits
• Ensure that safety programmes are in place and implemented.
• Safety Controls
• Early Birds
• Maintain effective budgetary control.
• Ensure that the site maintains a high level of good housekeeping.
• Client reports
• Mining reports
• Daily meetings and client liaison
• Recording and submitting of plant hours
• Recording of availabilities and utilizations
• Daily diesel control and daily measurement of diesel caps and consumptions
• Daily drilling and blasting controls
• Conduct on the job training coaching and ensure all staff are adequately trained

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 5 Years min experience in Hard Rock Opencast Mining as a Site Manager
• Surface Blasting ticket: 3 years experience in Hard Rock Mining as Contracts Manager
• Competency A
• Mining/Civil Engineering Industry diploma or relevant qualification
