Foreman: General Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate site services and general maintenance activities
• Ensure the effective operation of site infrastructure, including pumps, pipelines, and related systems
• Conduct routine inspections, including pump checks, diesel dips, and general equipment condition monitoring
• Maintain site standards by ensuring proper signage, boards, and safety controls are in place
• Identify and address issues such as pipe leaks, road crossings, and service line integrity
• Supervise and manage general workers, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards
• Assist with hands-on maintenance and repairs as required
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Recognised Trade Qualification (Electrical / Millwright or similar) ? essential
• Minimum 15?20 years? experience in mining or heavy industry, preferably within an opencast environment
• Strong practical and technical ability with a hands-on approach
• Proven experience in supervising teams, particularly general workers
• Good understanding of mining safety standards and procedures
• Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
